S13 Ep. 20 Hiro Helps Out + Overall of S13

THESE ARE SOLEY MY OWN OPINIONS AND NOT FROM THE THOMAS & FRIENDS FAN BASE

HIRO HELPS OUT
Written by Sharon Miller
Directed by Greg Tiernan
Produced by Nicole Stinn

Air Date (UK):
19/2/10

Plot:
Hiro arrives at Knapford station to find the Fat Controller very busy; so busy in fact that the Fat Controller leaves his top-hat inside his office and bumps into the stationmaster and a porter. Edward arrives and, like Hiro, is quite worried about the Fat Controller's unusual behaviour.

PRO:
- Hiro staring at the Fat Controller without his Top Hat did give me a chuckle with the music and all.

CONS:
- Edward and all of the other engines that Hiro met would at least be given instructions the day before on where to take their loads.
- If Hiro's a wise old engine, he should at least know that the Fat Controller is the only man in charge.
- As stated by TheUnluckyTug02 11 months ago, every time an engines says 'The Fat Controller', their lips are saying 'Sir Topham Hatt'. This is in the UK dub, this also happened in Season 14's 'Victor Says Yes' when Thomas puffed in and said 'Sir Topham Hatt', but his lips are saying 'The Fat Controller' in the US dub.

Now finally we're at the end of Season 13. First off, the overall of this episode. Hiro is a favourite of mine as I said before in 'The Biggest Present of All!' but even if he is a wise engine he should at least know that the Fat Controller is the man in charge of the railway and that the engines should wait for what jobs they have, but wouldn't they know their jobs before the day? The plot is almost similar to 'The Green Controller'.

Rating: 2/5

OVERALL OF SEASON 13

For the overall of Season 13, this season is just written terrible. Their are bad alliteration, rhyming and even pointless introductions in every episode about the engines like being busy and they like to huff and chuff, we get it, just tell us the story! There are many time-edits on YouTube that got rid of these pointless things that make the episode at bit more better and with a lesser time limit and the only episode that is good is 'Tickled Pink', it was filled with realism and is the only episode in this season I like. However, despite the bad writing, the animation by the team at Nitrogen was flawless, there have been a few design fails, but that never stops how eye catching the animation is. Greg Tiernan and his team did fabulous work and they deserve an award for the dedication they went through, but it would happen if the writing wasn't bad. Since that my ratings for all the 20 episodes are out of five, my overall rating will be out of 100.

OVERALL RATING:

39/100

So now that Season 13 is done, I will be starting on my Season 14 episode review.
