S8 Ep.6: Thomas Saves The Day

THESE ARE SOLEY MY OPINIONS AND NOT FROM THE THOMAS AND FRIENDS FAN BASE

THOMAS SAVES THE DAY
Written by
James Mason

Directed by
Steve Asquith

Air Date:
15/08/04

Plot:
A new station is being built and Thomas was taking workmen. But they have to go over the difficult bend, but Thomas has his two faithful coaches to help him out, until they're needed for their refit. Now Thomas is worried about going on the difficult bend with his coaches' help. Can he do it?

PRO:
- An near reference of 'Kellsthrope Station' as there is a junction in RWS with the same name.
- Annie and Clarabel helping out with Thomas.

CON:
- Why was James near the red coaches? I don't know.
- The coaches would've been smashed up since they bumped into James.
- Wouldn't the trucks glide to a stop if they came down the hill?

Despite the list of cons, this was another of HIT's best. I love how they name the station almost to their RWS counterparts. Better then having a station being made in the Post-Awdry era and calling it different. And the use of Annie and Clarabel helping out Thomas before they were given the silent treatment until 'Blue Mountain Mystery' But like many episode there are the usual cons. But they're not even worth mentioning. The episode is great and I enjoyed it when I first saw it on DVD.
