THESE ARE SOLEY MY OPINIONS AND NOT FROM THE THOMAS & FRIENDS FAN BASE
THOMAS GETS BUMPED
Britt Allcroft & David Mitton
Thomas is running late as he had to take some school children along his branch line as their bus had broken down. When he arrived at the big station, Thomas feared that he could be replaced. The next day, Thomas was making his way on his branch line, but just ahead the sun had buckled the line, which led him to derail. While his branch line is under repairs, Thomas was to shunt trucks in the yards and Bertie has to take his passengers. Thomas was sad, but the Fat Controller told him that his line is repaired and that he and Bertie would work together more with the passengers.
- Many people think the title is misleading, but I think it was called 'Gets Bumped' because Thomas bumped off the rails.
- I like the 'Sorry No Trains' sign.
- Where are Toby, Percy and Daisy, they should be helping out with the branch line too.
- Wouldn't the passenger need to be checked if they're not hurt.
The first Thomas episode in history not be written by an Awdry, instead it was written by Britt Allcroft and David Mitton. I see many people thinking the title is misleading, but I think it was called with the episode title because Thomas did bump himself off the line. But I believe they could've chosen a better title, but there's no turning back the clock now, but I'm not saying I hate the current title. I like the 'Sorry No Trains' sign too. But there are two cons I have with the episode. Why is Thomas is the only one running on his branch line, Toby, Percy and Daisy are suppose to help him out too. It could've done better if Bertie is to help out with Toby and Daisy half way along the branch line while Thomas is away to some shunting as the line is being repaired and Percy is taking the goods. That is, if Daisy were in the series.
Plus after the accident, wouldn't the crew or the guard go and see if the passengers aren't injured or worse? But anyway its an alright episode.
