Plot:
Thomas' traction rods are broken as he was hauling a heavy train. To get some new ones, his driver discovered in an old shed was an vintage sentinel lorry named Elizabeth who was old friends with the Fat Controller, as she was his first lorry. In the end Elizabeth was restored and in full gleaming colours.
PRO:
- I love Elizabeth's theme music.
- The term 'coupling rod' was mentioned.
CON:
- It's unlikely that Thomas' coupling rods would come off.
- How did Elizabeth get to the docks on her own?
- Why did the Fat Controller mention 'Railroad'?
There are a few faults with the episode, but it was nice and simple. First off I do love Elizabeth's theme music, it sounds very old victorian kind of music and I do like how they mention coupling rod, but it's unlikely to just drop off his wheels. I don't like it how in the script they mentioned 'Railroad' instead of 'Railway' maybe the writer accidentally gave the two narrators the wrong script with the wrong mention. The episode is another simple story and very enjoyable, but it would've need some work on it.
