Plot
Percy has to deliver the mail on Halloween when everyone knows the legendary Ghost Train comes out! Thomas rolls along to help Percy face his fears, but when a "real" Ghost Train appears... things get almost spooky.
It's common to see stories like these in past Thomas episodes like an engine is not scared, gets scared by spooky nature while another tricks them, an engine has a tarp placed on them by accident and everyone thinks they're a ghost until they saw the misunderstanding. We've seen that in the likes of episodes like 'Halloween', 'Flour Power' etc. I would say 'Ghost Train' from S2 since it has those elements but the story was way more humour into it and not one of the engines was scared by the dark and spooky nature.
The episode kind of lies within the likes of the former instead of the latter. Though I will say the latter part of the episode felt obnoxious with Thomas, Percy and Diesel running around over Boxy being the 'ghost' with them screaming, loud sirens etc. I don't know how children on autistic spectrum would go through this and I don't even think Mattel had any idea about that since, during the year 2022, a court filing had shown that they, Mattel as a company, thought it wasn't at best interest to them or the Thomas brand to be associated to the autism community, which is sickening.
Overall the episode was another meh fest to me.
