S10 Ep.2: A Smooth Ride

THESE ARE SOLEY MY OPINIONS AND NOT FROM THE THOMAS AND FRIENDS FAN BASE

A SMOOTH RIDE
Written by
Simon Nicholson

Directed by
Steve Asquith

Air Date:
2/10/06

Plot:
Sir Handel had come back from the quarry but however was shaking a lot when he was taking apples. Sir Handel was worried that Mr. Percival might send him away.

PRO:
- Their's a reasoning for Sir Handel's absence then just putting him in the picture and pretend his absence never happened.

CON:
- Sir Handel is not 'one of the oldest engine' on Sodor.
- Repetitive lines from the narrator

Didn't like this episode at all. It's not horrendous but it certainly wasn't entertaining to watch. Their were repetitive lines from the narrator about Sir Handel's problem and also I didn't like how they portrayed Sir Handel as 'the oldest' as he arrived on Sodor in 1904 when Skarloey arrived in 1865, I know the writers don't have the knowledge of the Thomas history but the newer episodes does leave continuity errors for the young audience.
