S13 Ep: 6 The Early Bird

THESE ARE SOLEY UNDER MY OWN OPINION
AND NOT FROM THE THOMAS & FRIENDS FAN BASE

THE EARLY BIRD
Written by David Richard Fox
Directed by Greg Tiernan
Produced by Nicole Stinn

Air Date (UK);
1/2/10

Plot:
Percy is at the Sodor Steamworks for repairs, so the Fat Controller puts Thomas in charge of the mail run. Thomas is excited about doing it, but Gordon tells him to take advice on how to do it from Percy.

PROS:
- It was actually great seeing Thomas hauling the mail again.

CONS:
- 'He never pulled the mail before!' and yet he did in the past seasons
- Of course a whistle's loud, it's there to warn everybody that a train is coming.
- This plot almost feels like 'Edward and The Mail'

This is another favourite, but not a huge one. There has been a few flaws like the narrator saying that Thomas never pulled the mail before and yet he did in numerous seasons. The plot is like a repeat of 'Edward and The Mail' from Season 11 and with whistles making too much noise, of course it's going to be loud, as mentioned in my cons, they're there to warn people that they're coming or going.

I like this episode, but not in an enthusiastic way and this episode should do some tweaking.

Rating: 3/5
