Plot
Kana played train tag instead of doing her delivery of books
I know that when it comes to plot the engines having the power to jump over obstacles and other things is not necessary but I hate it and this episode like previous ones before shows that it can work and you can still deliver the same message of the episode. Kana could've easily change tracks by jumping onto the next one when the cows were in the way and pile up the hay that she'd knocked down earlier at the same time instead of stopping and feeling stressed out. The same can be said when she'd derailed herself from Cannonball curve. She has the power to move, pick up the books and clean it up without the need of help from Sandy and Carly and she can still learn her lesson. But they need to fill in time by doing all of the former instead of just montages for some reason.
I also feel no sense of urgency when it comes to her book delivery. Why not have her thinking whether she wants to play train tag with her friends or do her job first and then play and after she chose the former she starts playing around, has fun throughout the day playing and then when the Knapford whistle blows she started to freak out that it was almost the end of the day and has to rush to make her delivery. There is urgency in that despite that idea being hammered down plenty of times, to my knowledge, when watching this show but when the hell had 'All Engines Go!' ever made something original? Look how many episodes we had of Thomas and Diesel being competitive!
This was another boring so-so episode about Kana and her being fast or whatever. Nothing special, nothing new just another boring episode with the unnecessary rule that for the sake of plot that we can't have the engines jumping around because that wouldn't make an interesting story or whatever even though it can still work anyway!
