Happy 80th Anniversary
to the Railway Series!!
I was thinking of leaving this episode on May 13th because I thought some people might think it's 'wrong' to release an episode review of an AEG episode on the anniversary day. But after seeing this episode back in April I decided to release it on the 12th and you'll see why. So here is the usual:
THESE ARE MY OWN OPINIONS AND ARE NOT INFLUENCED FROM THE THOMAS & FRIENDS FANBASE
BRUNO TO THE RESCUE
Rick Suvalle
Directed by
Campbell Bryer
Produced by
Suzie Gallo
Air Date
24/04/25 - SNG
Plot
Bruno needs to deliver a truck of tents that Thomas left behind for the Vicarstown camp out.
Despite that in the past seasons of the show we have seen rolling stock with their own power to move, Bruno going from place to place without the need of moving works here to show his cleverness and knowledge of the route and schedule and I really like how his own way of getting to Vicarstown had worked and would see that working if he was introduced in the original series of the show. Even the song felt like it'd fit into place because they hadn't hammered down the moral message of the episode like in previous songs which makes them very useless and a bit insulting to a child's intelligence.
Finally there is a gem in the rough and this was written by the same guy, no offence here, who wrote that boring Christmas special last year. This was probably the best and probably the only best episode of this terrible season and so far the highest rated episode for me in all of S4.
