Plot
When aging Toby comes to Knapford, he struggles to keep up with all the young engines. He still has a lot of zip in him, but around all these modern engines, he loses his confidence.
This was another nice episode and I do like the Railway Series easter egg of Toby's line being closed, as I said before it's nice to see this show at least respecting some of its source material. I think it could've been better if it was about Toby taking things slow and steady and doesn't bother trying to keep up with the young. He's an old engine must take care of himself and that he prefers doing that and let the young engines do what they want to do but the young engines though wanted him to try and be fast and all and it resulted Toby breaking down.
While older people do suffer from confidence issues, I tend to see that as a sterotype. Some older people do tend to be a bit more happier with age and I think Toby would do well as that to showcase that with the grandparents who watch this with their grandchildren.
Also it's nice to see Eddie Glenn returning to the world of Thomas since Magic Railroad, I still hate that movie BTW. He provided a nice old man type voice for Toby and it is very convincing just like his Thomas voice for movie, yes I do think he was a great voice actor.
