Plot
Skiff the tiny railboat and Joe the lighthouse keeper are helping everyone to prepare for a big storm approaching Arlesburgh, when Skiff's anchor rope snaps and he gets blown down the track and into a tree that has fallen across the branch line. Luckily he is not hurt, but Oliver and Duck are heading straight for the tree. Can he warn them in time?

While this episode may feel like Farrall's other scripts, 'Slow Stephen' and 'Toad and The Whale' there is something that makes it stand out. The opening showcases what the moral is about, size. I also like how we have Sailor Joe, a new captain of Skiff, and I love how he interacts with Skiff that it makes me wish we see a bit more of that with the engines and their crews. I mean they did that in 'Long Lost Friend' but I also didn't like that Joe was forgotten later on in the plot.
Like maybe have him worried that Skiff was missing and he went on one of the Great Western tank engines while they head for home and hopefully we see more of Joe in future episodes. Another problem too is Duck's render. While yes it is great that we see him not as a giant, you can still see more of giant render particularly around his buffers as his shadows are raised higher. Hopefully Jam Filled Productions get him all fixed up.
I also like how Duck and Oliver were showing some care for Skiff and despite telling him that he's small in comparison to them, you can see that they were concerned for him rather than being judgmental. It definitely shows that they don't have one trait, boasting about Great Western pride of an escape from the scrapyard. I hope we see more depth between them.
